Your Autobiographies Kimberly WIlkinson's Autobiography (submitted 5/8/06) When I was about ten years old I went away to gymnastics camp for one week. I was really excited to go meet new people but I knew I would get homesick. After driving for about four hours we arrived at the camp. After getting settled in it was time to go to sleep. That is when I began to feel homesick. I called my mom and was up almost all night crying. She told me to calm down and have fun. I tried to listen to her but I just missed being home. For the first couple of nights being at camp I would call my mom and cry to her. But then she told me I would never have this opportunity again and I should just enjoy it. That's when I decided to just have fun and try to forget about being homesick. In the end I was very happy I had made it through the week by myself and I don't regret my decision to stay because it makes me feel like I grew up. |
