Hattie Toppins's Autobiography (submitted 5/18/06)

I would like to help celebrate Benjamin Franklin's 300 birthday. I am a resident of Bucks County waiting to be given an Apartment in Bensalem, PA. My memoirs take me back to the mid-1930's when I became a first-grade student of St. Katharine Drexel--Drexel University was named in honor of St. Katharine Drexel. I am so proud to have known this great saint during my school days. On graduation day I was awarded A student of the year scholarship to attend St. Katharine Drexel High School at Rock Castle, Virginia, called St. Francis de Sales. However, my High School graduation was complicated by the start of World War II--this war shattered my hopes and dreams but preserved forever my goals and values till this day. I am now an Honorable Associate of St. Katharine Drexel Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament.
