Mary (Polly) Stevenson Hewson
Polly Stevenson, the daughter of the woman from whom Franklin rented rooms in London, was near the age of his own daughter, Sally. She filled the role of a daughter during the years he was away from home. He gave her away at her wedding to the brilliant Dr. Thomas Hewson; and after Hewson's early death she brought her children to Philadelphia to live.
