John Stow
1727 - 1754
Born in Philadelphia, John Stow advertised as a brass founder, but worked with other metals as well. He is most famous for having formed a partnership with another founder, John Pass, to re-cast the deficient bell that the Pennsylvania Assembly had ordered from London's Whitechapel Foundry for the steeple of the State House in Philadelphia. The bell they cast is more commonly called the Liberty Bell.
