Footed, glass bowl with a wide silver rim (which measures 5/8 inch with the lip). The glass is diapered at the top and the foot is scalloped and elaborately cut. The bowl was mold-blown, and may have had a cover. Sarah Franklin Bache, Franklin's daughter, is believed to have owned this bowl.

The initials EC (or perhaps EG) are engraved on the silver rim.
