The cufflinks have shallow dished silver tops, short stationary stems and disk-shaped silver backs. Mother-of-pearl disks are set into the silver tops; and the silver backs are engraved with small flowerets. They have been passed down in a small rectangular box of fawn-colored leather with edges ornamented with lines of gilding.
