The full-length statuette of Franklin shows him standing, about to step forward, with a rolled document in his right and his hat in his left. A letter dated May 19, 1955, from Charles Coleman Sellers, maintained in the file states that this is a cast of the original François Marie Suzanne statuette. Comparison of its measurements with those of one of the terra cotta versions would help resolve it. The unknown artist cast the obverse of Augustin Dupré's 1784 medal in the base.
