Exhibitions
"In Pursuit of Genius : Jean-Antoine Houdon and the Sculpted Portraits of Benjamin Franklin," at the Philadelphia Museum of Art," 5/13/06 - 7/30/06, included a bronze medal from the collections of Yale University (cat. no.200l.87.3028). Jack Hinton, curator of the exhibition, assisted greatly in the creation of this entry.

Provenance
A copy of the medal hung at Monticello, according to the notation in the records from Monticello: "'Franklin, a medal of bronze by Dupre.' It was hung on the wall in the tea room."

The pictured medals in silver were sold at Stack's auction, John J.Ford, Jr. Collection, May 23, 2006, lot 345.
