Book press or bookcase

Date of Accession: 1975-01-15. The press was received as a gift from Margaret Conklin. In INHP files a furniture repairer (and dealer?) B. Lieberman is cited as "having" the press and another, its mate. It appears that Lieberman "had" them from C. Bradford. It is possible that Lieberman owned them or had them on consignment. Margaret Conklin purchased one to donate to the Franklin project. The other was purchased privately, and remains (2006) in that collection.
