The inventory of Franklin's possessions taken at his death includes two entries of multiple chairs: "18 new mahogany chairs," in the Parlour and "10 old mahogany chairs" in the Blue Room. These chairs have a reputed ownership by Franklin, but paper documentation to support that claim has not yet been found.
