  • Further Information
Hanging oval ceramic plaque bearing a transfer-printed profile portrait of Franklin in black ink. The plaque is a flat, unornamented slab of fine-grained earthenware clay, almost 1/4-inch thick, glazed on both sides with a clear glaze that puddles blue. The image of Franklin occupies the center of the plaque, with an expanse of white visible around it on all sides. The plaque is pierced with two small holes near the upper edge, to permit a hanging cord or ribbon to pass through.
