John Cobb (Attributed) Mahogany and [probably] beech; H. 34 1/2 in. (87.63 cm), W. 25 1/4 in. (64.13 cm) Collection of Theodore E. Wiederseim, a direct descendant of the Stevenson-Hewson-Bradford family George III drawing room armchair in the "French cabriolet" style, part of a suite of chairs believed to have been bought by Franklin for his rooms on Craven Street in London, and given to Mary ("Polly") Stevenson Hewson. It has descended in her family.
