Provenance
According to family tradition, the crib was used by Franklin's grandson, Benjamin Franklin Bache (1769-1798), and descended in his line to Louisa Johnston Bache Castle (Mrs. J. M. Castle, II), who gave it to the Winterthur Museum in 1978.
