Leaf of an oak tree;
Monticello: The Home of Thomas Jefferson (Charlottesville, Va.)
The image of Franklin had become an icon even before his death. This object, though made as a memorial rather than as a true portrait, has the history of having been associated with Monticello, and the family of Thomas Jefferson.
