| Listen to the strains of the musical instrument invented by Ben Franklin- the Glass Armonica. Park Rangers explain how Franklin came to invent it and demonstrate the sound it makes- said to resemble the “voices of angels”. Mozart and Beethoven composed music for it, but it fell out of favor in the 19th century. Modern Glass Armonicas are once again being made and the instrument is enjoying renewed interest among musicians. |
